The Ohel Chana Scholarship for Excellence
Ohel Chana is pleased to offer the Ohel Chana Scholarship for Excellence, which awards $10,000 towards seminary tuition fees to two successful candidates. The scholarship recognises commitment to Yiddishkeit, Chassidishkeit and Mentchlichkeit, excellence in learning, strong leadership and a passion for Shlichus.

A) Transcripts reflect a grade point average of 85% or higher in all Limudei Kodesh subjects, starting from 11th grade. The scholarship is contingent upon maintaining this average through the completion of 12th grade.

B) Collect four reference letters: one from a principal, one from a teacher, one from a family friend, and one from someone who knew you in a leadership or shlichus role. This is a requirement of an additional two letters beyond the two letters required for a standard application.

​C) Write an essay or create a presentation demonstrating your suitability for the scholarship and outlining your goals for your year in Melbourne, Australia.
This submission should outline how you express your commitment to Yiddishkeit and Chassidishkeit, your leadership qualities and roles, and in what way your passion for Shlichus expresses itself. (This can include participation in various school or community programs, volunteer opportunities, camp postions, hachlatos etc.)​
