Bayis Yehudi

In the 'Bayis Yehudi' course, students embark on a journey of self-discovery and exploration, addressing fundamental questions like "Who am I?" and "What kind of man do I want to marry?" Da Ma Shetashiv

Health

At Ohel Chana, we recognize the Torah's mandate to prioritize our physical well-being as an integral mitzvah. The intertwining of spiritual and physical health is at the core of our holistic approach to education. In the Health Class, students delve into a comprehensive learning program covering various facets of health. From mental and emotional well-being to nutrition, body image, substance abuse, and women's health, this course offers a platform to explore and address a spectrum of topics vital for a balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Hiskashrus

The ‘Hiskashrus’ is course designed to deepen one’s connection to the Rebbe through the study of sichos, maamarim, and through meaningful discussions. Our goal is for students to leave with a comprehensive understanding of the Nossi's role and how they can personally relate to that role and further develop that role throughout their life. Topics covered include the Nossi's role and how we develop a connection to His mission, Avoida B’koiach Atzmoi, and how studying the Rebbe's Torah fosters Hiskashrus.

Maamorim

Delve into the heart of Chassidic wisdom with the Maamorim course, featuring an in-depth, text-based study of fundamental Maamorim and core Chassidus concepts. Explore timeless teachings and uncover the spiritual heritage that continues to guide and inspire today.

Parsha

In our weekly Parsha class, students explore key aspects of the Torah portion and understand the Parsha’s content through a Chassidic perspective and a focus on drawing practical life lessons. Throughout the course, students gain knowledge of significant events and figures, interpret Torah verses and commentaries, recognize essential verses in Jewish discourse, identify recurring themes, understand different commentator approaches, make connections across Parshiot, and derive personal insights from the content.

Practical Halacha

This course delves into the historical development of Torah, from its original written form to modern-day Halachic decisions. Through the examination of contemporary Shaalos (questions) and connecting them to their origins in the written Torah, students gain insights into the historical progression of Torah and the evolution of Halacha. The program includes 10-15 comprehensive Halachic analyses, providing students with the skills to scrutinize modern-day Shaalos and identify their central issues, promoting a deeper comprehension of how Torah has progressed and how Halachic decisions are made.

Rashi Sichos

Discover the intricacies of the Rebbe's unique approach to Rashi in our in-depth Rashi Sichos course. Students explore the text, its structure, and accompanying footnotes, with explicit instruction and class discussion. Chavrusa study is also encouraged. By the course's end, students will have a profound understanding of key Sichos, grasp the Rebbe's elucidation of Rashi's principles, particularly his brilliant interpretations of פשוטו של מקרא, become familiar with the structure of a Rashi Sicha, develop the ability to study a Rashi Sicha independently, and ignite a genuine enthusiasm for further exploration.

Self-expression plays a vital role in our sense of well-being, and our Creative Arts course is designed with this in mind. It offers students a creative outlet where they can freely express themselves. Guided by our instructor, the course weaves in relevant Jewish and Chassidic concepts into the artworks, creating a holistic, spiritual, and imaginative experience. Exercise

At Ohel Chana, we recognize the integral connection between a sound body, a sound mind, and a sound soul. Our students have the unique opportunity to participate in invigorating exercise classes led by a frum instructor, accompanied by uplifting kosher music and a vibrant atmosphere. Classes encompass a wide range of fitness activities, from strength training and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to cardio and circuit programs, including classic routines. Hilchos Shabbos

Discover the intricacies of the Halachos of Bishul (cooking) on Shabbos and their practical applications in this comprehensive course. Gain confidence in handling food on Shabbos without fear of halachik violations. Topics covered include an in-depth exploration of the laws of Bishul on Shabbos, other considerations regarding food on Shabbos, and a thorough examination of the Blech (a heat source used on Shabbos).

History of Chassidus

Public Speaking

Tanya

The course offers an in-depth, interactive study of various chapters of Tanya, with a significant emphasis on practical applications to real-life situations. Its primary objectives include fostering an appreciation for the contribution of Chassidus to Yiddishkeit and its relevance in the present generation. Students will also develop a profound understanding of the inherent strengths and special powers that come with each Jewish soul by virtue of the Neshomoh, equipping them to lead more meaningful and purposeful lives.
