In nurturing spiritual growth and breadth of experience in preparation for Shlichus, students have the opportunity to become involved in:
Yomim Tovim
Assisting Shluchim with programs in their Chabad Houses and Shuls. Arrangements are made with the permission of the Hanhala with parental permission required for girls travelling out of town.
Bnos Chabad
Students are encouraged to become involved with the Beth Rivkah school girls during the week through Shiurim, activities, lunchtime, after school visits and to lead Bnos groups on Shabbos. Ohel Chana students have a large responsibility to the school students through being a living example of a Chassidishe girl in dress, activities and personal conduct.
Camps
During the summer holidays, students are strongly encouraged to be involved in the planning and running of Bnos activities and Gan Israel Camps. They can participate in the camp programs as counsellors, giving shiurim or undertaking many other areas of responsibility.
We encourage students to participate in other optional Peulois during the year.
- The students have the opportunity to work in a Sunday School environment with students from other communities through either United Jewish Education Board or Talmud Torahs at Chabad houses or local shules.
- Ohel Chana girls are involved in community Hafatza work such as Mivtzoim, hospital visits, etc
- Opportunities are available for Ohel Chana girls to assist families in need of extra support in the home.
